Photo Booklet using Open Office Draw
This project can be done in many programs. The late Les showed how to do it in “Publisher” and recently Ken used a Photoshop template but not everyone has these programs.
Once the template is made in any program, save it and just vary the content.
Open Office is an excellent suite of free programs similar to “Office”.
Download Open Office at:- http://www.openoffice.org\
Also download Folding.jpg for instructions. Children think this is a clever way to make a play book.
Start a new drawing.
Format / Page A4 29.7 x 21 cm, landscape, all margins .5 cm, OK.
View / Guides Ticked
Prepare the content for each of the eight pages in the booklet on an image size of
6.6 cm wide X 9.75 cm high
The page margins have already been set and will be guides. Check where the ruler origin is set . It was at the intersection of the top left margins when I did this and this will be a location corner

Draw guide lines on an A4 sheet to locate the top left hand corner of each page in the booklet.
Insert / Insert Snap Point/Line Enter the positions accurately instead of guessing.

Insert Vertical guides at 7.6 15.2 22.6 cm
Horizontal Guide at 10.35 cm

Copy and paste your images into each page or create text.
The top row of content has to be rotated to upside down. Select an image and Modify / Rotate
Print and then fold and cut the page as shown in Folding.jpg
There are some interesting "print & cutout" projects here.
